The Beckhoff EK1122 is a 2-port EtherCAT junction terminal designed to extend pure linear EtherCAT line topologies into versatile star, tree, or drop-line network structures. Installed directly within an EtherCAT Terminal segment, the EK1122 converts the internal E-bus signal to two 100BASE-TX EtherCAT RJ45 ports (X1 and X2), enabling easy connection of additional fieldbus lines, remote EtherCAT sub-racks, or independent machine modules.
